You are not structured
to make war
but you know how to defend yourself
and get you respected
by virtue of your ways
polite and courteous
to which you know how to combine
pleasant and delicate sensations
that remember the essence
of the most sincere nature.

About

This vine is widespread in the Sanvitese and Spilimberghese areas where it is also called Refosco gentile. In the area it was historically vinified together with Palomba and Cordenossa to produce a wine that took the name of “Vin di Uchi”.

The Refosco di Rauscedo is distinguished by its average weight of the bunch which is lower than the others belonging to the Refoschi family; this characteristic derives mainly from a lower average weight of the grape. The lower production, however, is not compensated for by a large storage capacity of sugars, and the acidity at harvest is also quite high.

When tasted it has a very intense color with both ruby red tones and violet reflections. The wines of Refosco di Rauscedo are of medium aromatic complexity, and notes of jam and dried plum prevail accompanied by discreet sensations of spice, fresh vegetable and dry herbaceous. From the organoleptic point of view, the wine has an average acidity, slightly astringent, with a good structure and after-aroma persistence.
